Always has been a staple of Bako. The food will never let you down, from Biscuits and Gravy, to their Burgers. Always a great choice!

I can't believe this is my first time here. I've been hearing about Copes for years. It is a quaint rustic coffee shop, serving breakfast & lunch. The staff is prompt & friendly even though they are very busy. They have a quite extensive menu of breakfast & lunch items. Breakfast is served all day. Their lunch menu looks excellent as well. I'll be back soon to try it out. What I like is that they offer many individual items if you don't have a big appetite. I order a biscuit with gravy and a side of sausage. The biscuit was cloud fluffy, the gravy was rich and peppery. The sausage was moist & spicy. The servings are generous. If you want delicious down home cooking this is the place to come.

We decided to stop at Cope's for breakfast while on our road trip to Las Vegas. Did a quick yelp search and found them near the highway in Bakersfield. When we pulled up, the parking lot was full of local Bakersfield PD, so we knew it was going to be a good & filling meal. Walking into the restaurant you get a quirky & vintage vibe. There's hardwood everywhere, from the tables to the booths. Lots of milling tools and memorabilia were hung up along the walls, and local business cards & ads tucked underneath vinyl table covers. It was giving IYKYK energy and I loved it. The wait staff were incredibly friendly and warm. I ordered a simple breakfast of scrambled eggs, sausage patties, and a generous helping of biscuits & gravy. The sausage patties were flavorful and had the right amount of spices to complement the butter-cooked eggs. The biscuit was fluffy and pillowy, perfect to dunk into the delicious gravy. Highly recommend stopping here for a bite if you're passing through the area!

First time our Friday group has met at the Knotty Pine cafe. We had a comfortable table for 6 in the back dining area. Our waitress was friendly attentive and enjoyable she explained the extensive menu and answered all of questions. Our coffee were kept full and waters refilled without asking. All our orders, chili verde omelette French toast 2 senior scrambled & pancake's were brought out promptly. Everyone belonged to the clean plate club except for the CV omelette it was way to big. All the portions were generous and delicious my french toast was especially good. The prices were very reasonable, service very good the Knotty Pine Cafe hit a home run We'll be returning

Copes is back to 5 stars with their great comfort food. The chicken fried steak, chicken fried chicken and ribeyes are made like they were on my first visit. Biscuits and gravy and hash-browns are cooked perfectly! I always loved the employees and servers, they are quality! The fluffy pancakes, the Eggs Benedict, Roast Beef and home made Reuben sandwiches have been perfect lately. The cobbler and french fries, so good! Their chili verde omelette is excellent!

This is the place to go for a hearty breakfast and great comfort food. The environment is cozy, the staff is friendly, the portions are big, and the prices are decent. The steak and eggs breakfast has been my favorite so far. So good!!!

Cope's Knotty Pine Cafe is an old-school gem in Bakersfield. We love diners with hearty plates while on vacation, and this one served us right! The food was outstanding, and the service was top-notch and kind. I ordered the Denver omelet and traded the ham for avocado with biscuits and gravy. Delicious!! The cabin decor with the diner bar seating for the regulars and locals was classic.
